Sanctuary

The Dome can seat up to 900 people in the sanctuary. The sanctuary is massive in volume and has 43 foot ceilings with deep ceiling reliefs and a central dome lit with blue lights with a stained glass window featuring the word Love. All the wood work is mahogany with ornate pews and trim. Original wall sconces and light fixtures illuminate the space and can be adjusted to your personal preferences. The stage area can accommodate a small to median size bridal party and the Bride path walks down one side of the sanctuary and exits the other side.

Ballroom

The 3,200 sq ft ballroom can seat around 200, depending on how the tables are set up. We can provide table and chairs for up to 180 people or so, but table linens and chair covers are an extra cost.


The ballroom can accommodate a DJ on a portable platform placed anywhere you may prefer. Steam heat heats the space in winter and window air conditions cool it in summer. 

Additional Rooms

The Dome in Saint Joseph also provides a conference style room which works as a Brides preparation room or catering station. Two staging rooms behind the stage each with half bathrooms. Upper and lower foyers to welcome your guests and a lounge room off the main foyer which has multiple purposes. 


Pricing

The pricing varies depending on what your needs may be. You can rent just the sanctuary or ballroom or rent them both. We understand the large financial burden a wedding can be so we are willing to work with most budgets. Don't hesitate to discuss with us you budget no matter how big or small. You won't be disappointed with our prices.

Parking

The Dome has roughly 12 parking spaces on the east side of the building as well as unlimited street parking. There is an additional parking lot behind The Dome that may be available on a case by case basis.

FAQs

Is there any hidden fees that are going to sneak up on us?


There are additional fees which may include clean up, trash haul out, table linens, chair covers and tax. Discuss with the manager, at the initial meeting, so you know exactly what the final costs will be.



Are you handicap accessible?


Due to The Dome being a historic building we are not handicap accessible, but there is a side entrance that does not have as many stairs to access the ballroom.



Can I have alcohol?


We do not allow hard liquor, but beer and wine can be arranged on a case by case basis.



Can I bring my own caterer?


You can have your own caterer but they need to be made aware of the buildings limitations. We have no preferred caterers.



Can I have my own Officiant facilitate my wedding?


Yes, we are not an active church and do not provide an Officiant. You are welcome to have whoever you want.



I want to get ready there is there a space for that?


We do have a few options for the bride and groom to get ready. There are two smaller rooms behind the stage that works well for the guys to get ready. The bride can use the conference room off the ballroom on the lower level or we have had the brides get ready in the womens bathroom on the lower level.

I have guest coming in town for my wedding and can you recommend a place that everyone can stay?


We are able to offer the Vineyard Mansion and Carriage House B&B located two short blocks from The Dome that can accommodate out of town guest. Call or email for more details.



Can I have my rehearsal dinner there the night before the wedding?


Yes you can. The rehearsal is included in the cost of the rental, but if you want to have the dinner in the ballroom, there will be an addition fee. Discuss with the manager to work out the details.
